President Donald Trump on Friday said he was banning several media organisations from the White House, accusing them of publishing “fake news” about his administration.In a post on Truth Social, Mr Trump said CNN, MS NOW and Politico would not be allowed in the White House “effective immediately”.“I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW ... and Politico ... from the White House as a result of their constant ‘reporting’ fake news!” he wrote.“Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report fiction and lies when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America.”Mr Trump did not specify the scope of the ban or whether it would affect journalists’ credentials, or their access to the White House grounds and attendance at presidential events.
