Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has directed government agencies to turn youth employment into a measurable priority by embedding explicit targets into their sector plans and annual performance contracts. Speaking on Wednesday during the 15th Development Partnership Forum (DPF) at his official residence in Karen, Nairobi, Kindiki called on Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to concentrate on high-impact sectors. He singled out agriculture, manufacturing, the digital economy, tourism, and the blue economy as key drivers for large-scale job creation. The high-level forum focused on youth and development brought together key leaders, including Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Council of Governors Chair Ahmed Abdullahi, county governors, ambassadors, heads of bilateral and multilateral development agencies, and private sector representatives.
